Jake Cohen's Emergency Rent Fund

Jake Cohen is a former U.S. Navy sailor currently going to school in San Diego. In November of 2018 his VA benefits checks have been slashed significantly and he has been unable to pay rent since then and, if his checks continue to be below the amount he needs, he will be at risk of eviction. Local veteran programs refuse to help until after he has lost his home. He is not asking for free handouts, but simply some help to hopefully prevent him from being kicked out onto the streets.
