Jailed for protecting his family

My husband is a protector. He does what's right, even when he knows he's going to lose money or items we need for our family of 8. Recently, he was doing just thay, helping out an elderly friend down the street, when their neighbor, Paul, attacked my husband, Cameron, with a baseball bat. He was screaming that he hated Cameron for helping our friend, and that he was going to kill her. He hit Cameron in the leg with the bat and punched him 6 times in the face, breaking his nose. All this time, Cameron only tried to reason with Paul. He started walking back, along with 2 witnesses, when Paul said he was going to kill out family, and traded the bat for a tire iron. This time, Cameron fought back. He is now sitting in jail facing criminal charges, while the man who attacked him is sitting at home, fine and dandy, and continuing to be a danger to those around him. The money I am asking for is for me and my 6 children to survive for a short time until he can be released.
