Jackson Pierce medical expenses

Donation protected
Jackson Pierce is my brother's great-grandson.  Jackson is a sweet almost to be 7 year old boy who has had complications from a tonsillectomy.  Doctors have been unable to stop the bleeding.  He was transferred to Arkansas Children's Hospital and has had 8 subsequent surgeries in the last 1 1/2 weeks.  He has a little sister, Lyla who is 3,, who misses him very much.  His parents Greg and Kaitlin are constantly at his bedside.  These funds will help offset lost wages and medical expenses for this young family.  Jackson's Nana's post will help you better understand who Jackson is and what he means to us all.

"First, may I please thank all of you for the outpouring of love you have showered upon my family during this difficult time.
When Jackson was born I knew that God had blessed him with a sweet spirit and soul. Though he was a little slow to crawl and walk, his mind and heart were growing strong. Those of you who know Jackson, know his smile can light up a room.

Jackson loves everyone. He has never met a stranger...that he didn't talk to ...death. Hi, I'm Jackson, 2,3,4,5,6 years old. To the poor little child in the Wal Mart line that looked like no one had cared for him in a while..hi, I'm Jackson Pierce, you look like you would be a great friend, can you spend the night? Or to the beautiful little black girl we saw in a store (okay if he's with me, he's in a store) to which Jackson told her she had the most beautiful skin and that it was the color of his favorite chocolate.

I picked him up from school not to long ago. He told me another little boy had called him a nerd, because he wasn't a very good basketball player. (I wanted his name, address, etc) Jackson told me not to be upset with this boy, because he had probably had a bad day. Hmm loving at all times.

When Jackson loves you he certainly talks about you and especially at prayer time. He prays for his family and friends, dogs and always ends with Uncle Randy. No, he doesn't have an Uncle Randy. But Randy was someone that we loved and that Jackson had concluded was a pretty neat guy, because he knew where the Indian tree was.
He has often asked us questions about Uncle Randy being in heaven. Does he hunt in heaven? Does he drive a tractor in heaven. To which I reply that I'm not sure about that, but was sure he was in a beautiful place. Jackson says that's awesome.
He loves his special friend Beau in Fayetteville, his "awesome friends at church", especially the one who looks like Harry Potter and can really dance. He loves his teachers at church! Miss Sharon ,Miss Leona, Miss Staccia, Miss Lindzey, Zoie, Miss Debbie and of course Miss Andi.

Everyday Jackson looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers at Sequoyah. To all of the faculty , staff and students at Sequoyah Elementary, Center Valley and Pottsville Schools, Jackson can't wait to be able to read his cards and return to school. Thank you to Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Henderson for loving our Jackson.

Jackson has a family that loves him so much. He gets so excited to see each and everyone. We are greeted with, "Hi, love you, is the I Pad charged?" If this question is answered with a no, he very sweetly tells us that we knew he was coming and that we should have been prepared for his visit. All of us look forward to Jacksons visits. He can make a bad day a good day.

Today one of my daughters friends and her sweet father were waiting on us to get to ICU so that they could pray with Katie, Greg and Jacksons Dr's and nursing staff. I don't know that Jackson was awake, but I do know that Jackson felt those prayers.
Looking at all of your wonderful post for my sweet grandson I thought, wow, Jackson has a lot of friends.

Unless something changes tonight or early in the morningJackson will be taken back for surgery to remove an abcess from the back of his throat. Dr's are planning to intubate him and give Jacksons body a time out for a few days.

I know he will be dreaming of his friends and loved ones. While Jackson is taking his time out I am going to read every post, text and card. When Jackson wakes I am going to let him know how many friends he has made.
God has shown me how wonderful Jackson's faith, love for his friends family and church is.

May I say thank you for the outpouring of honest love and prayers for him and our family. This time is difficult but seeing Jackson's prayer warriors lifting him up has truly helped all us of us. I pray for complete healing so we may show others and remind ourselves that God still works miracles.

I know I'm rambling ,but we truly thank you for your prayers please keep them coming."
