Jackie's Medical Mission to Belize

Hello! My name is Jackie and I am currently a Physician Assistant student at Kettering College. I've been dedicated to helping those in need whenever possible through volunteering, donating, and other acts of service. After finding out that my college hosts yearly international medical mission trips to serve people in areas of need I had to apply...and got selected!
This year, several students, faculty, and healthcare staff will be traveling to and working in Belize City and the surrounding regions to provide healthcare, education, as well as offering love and compassion to those in need. We will spending time at the children's home as well providing care youth in need.
While this is an amazing opportunity, all the preparation and planning that goes into this is not easy. The cost of the trip alone is $1800 (I have already made the $300 downpayment), which does not include getting a passport, updating immunizations, obtaining the necessary equipment, and other miscellaneous expenses. This is why my goal is set to $2500. HOWEVER! Any funds that are not used for this trip are going to be donated to charity (which has not been selected yet).
I feel very fortunate to have the chance to go on this trip, but I need your help if possible to make this happen. Any donation, no matter how much, is greatly appreciated and will go towards helping to take care of those in need. Again, any donated funds not used for this trip will be given to charity; NONE will be kept. I will update everyone on the charity of choice once it has been selected and let me know if you have one in mind. :)
