Jack Gerdon is one of a kind. His humor, quick wit, and fun spirit are so loved by all who have the chance to meet him. He is an incredible friend, brother, and uncle, and most of all, an amazing father to his daughter, Carter.
Over the past year, Jack has been struggling with changes in his memory, behavior, and mood that were hard to explain. After months of seeking help and therapy, we finally received the answer this past week when we learned that Jack had a baseball-sized tumor growing on his left frontal lobe.
On Thursday, June 20, the tumor was removed successfully but with grim results. We are waiting on the official pathology, but based on the surgeon's initial assessment, it seems to be a fairly aggressive tumor that will require long term treatment including radiation, chemotherapy, and rehabilitation.
It is unclear what the future holds, but we know that the road will be long and rough. With the support of his family and friends, we are asking for support in covering his impending medical bills to help him through this very difficult time.
