Dental Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

Hi everyone.I knew I wanted to be a dentist since I was sixteen, but there's been something in my heart ever since I started undergrad when I found myself surrounded by people who took time to help others. From these interactions, grew a newfound understanding of what volunteering is and how it should be implemented as part of our lives. Serving on a mission trip has been a desire I've carried with me over the years, a desire that continues to flourish. I knew back then that I wanted it to be when I could serve by helping provide treatment. As a soon to be third year dental student at LSU School of Dentistry where I have been treating patients for the past year, I have finally made it to the point in life where this desire is quenching for reality.

I have the amazing opportunity for an outreach in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic from May 27-June 8 to share free dental care, medical attention, and the love of Christ for the people of this community.

Each dental student is responsible to raise $1,500 for Students International to help with the cost of medicine, dental and medical supplies that will be used throughout the mission trip.

I am humbly asking for you to please consider helping financially with this mission trip that I feel so strongly about. Every little bit can make a difference! I also ask that during this time to please pray for the people of Dominican Republic and how God will use me to reach those who are in need.
