Head & Neck cancer for medical and travel expense

Hi, I’m Lisa Rock Landry. I’m a mother of one son Sam, I became a mother at the age of 16 god gave me my son to develop me into the person I have become. Without my son I would have never become who I am today. We never know what the plan is until we stand back and review it as a whole picture. Sam and I had pretty much experienced everything together good times bad times and growing up all  at the same time. My sister helped us a lot cause I worked long hours standing behind my chair and working other jobs just to make things happen for my son! I missed lots of things during his childhood but I was mom and dad in one. You don’t realize how it could have been different till you’ve missed a moment you can’t get back. Even though something could have been different I think we did well, and learned a lot for it just being us. Love you Sam and thanks for being my Son!
 
I have been a HAIRSTYLIST since  I got out of high school it’s been a passion since I was a child. I worked for Dottie’s Clip and Curl from 1986 til February 2010  at that time I opened my own salon which was very successful til the summer of 2018 and at this point I had knee surgery, 6 weeks later shoulder surgery  with a 4-6 month recovery and the early December my mouth started bothering me. Think it was just another Lichen Planus issue done my normal to get it better, by late January early February I realized I need to see about trying something different for the Lichen Planus.
 I found a doctor in Baton Rouge but I think I was to late. So I’ve had a lot of test with 6-10 days between appointments and on April 15 2019 I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in my mouth, I pray that this will be fine but it’s moving so fast that I’m concerned that I may have not been fast enough! It’s crazy how your life can just be erased in front of your face One year ago I was financially stable,had a car, plans for a good future, great credit score!  Now only a memory, Would’ve  never thought that all your hard work and planning could be taken so quickly! 

April 25th I went to Atlanta to the cancer treatment center of America, on May 1st found out it’s stage ll in my buccal mucosa (mouth)and stage lV in the lymph nodes(neck)that began late Nov-Dec2018. On May 21st  I will have cancer removed, this is really scary but I just want this evilness out of my body!  God is amazing and awesome! I spend most of my day and nights praising and praying, my father knows me and knows I’m fighting  toughest journey ever! This is physically, emotionally and financially the hardest thing I could imagine. The pain in my head and neck is disturbing, the surface of my skin is numb ,tingling and strange feeling. But below the surface it feels like lightning strikes hitting me  that makes functioning also impossible. This is from the surgery and I still need 6 weeks of radiation which will cause more nerve damage.  We will have to stay in Atlanta during these treatments which go fund me will help to pay for all treatments, travel and expenses to  overcome the HEAD AND NECK CANCER.  If you can’t donate I understand but Please share cause it contribute for your shares.
