I have been battling a very rare form of cancer called Ocular Melanoma (OM - Eye Cancer). Life expectancy from the time of metastasis is less than a year without treatment. Unfortunately due to many failed attempts at treatments our options are very limited. Today there is no cure, but there is hope!  Many have asked “is there anything I can do?”  My answer today is absolutely, as we are in a race against the clock.

What follows is the single most important objective for your consideration this year. Our family would be extremely grateful for your donation specifically targeting OM treatment advances, expensive non-FDA approved adjuvant therapies, and immune, genomic and personalized cytometric  profiling. These tests are often not covered or barely covered by insurance and can allow me to cherish my family's time together instead of being sick due to failed treatment attempts. We can target drugs and therapies that would possibly benefit me.

I have been fighting OM since July of 2007 with metastasis to my liver in May of 2013, spine Oct 2013, and stomach lining just this past December. I have the best oncology team in the world for OM in Philadelphia at Jefferson University however my options are now very limited due to my metastasis. OM also responds completely differently than skin melanoma and there are no FDA approved treatments for OM at this time.

This money will go directly to my care, traveling to Philadelphia every month for treatments, traveling across the US to see different specialists as my cancer progresses, to my extensive supplement regime, and this will allow me to try different holistic approaches through naturopathic doctors. 

I will keep on fighting; for my husband, daughter, son, extended family and friends! I am not ready to give up!!
