Fundraising For Sophie's School, The Ivy School

Help us to raise money for Sophie's school, The Ivy School (a Montessori Public Charter)!
Hello! I have exciting news and a somewhat urgent request to make of you. The Montessori school that Sophie has attended for the last three years just bought a proper school building and they close in a month! We are asking for donations as this will be a financially tight time for our community, with the school looking to move to the NEW campus beginning in September of the 2019-2020 school year. This move is amazing as it will not only strengthen our community but will help it to continue to grow and flourish into the future. We are heavily invested in the success of this community of educators, administrators, students and their families. This new location will be beneficial for our children and families alike as it will be merging two separate campuses and allowing all Ivy families to have a single dedicated and reinvigorated location for the education of our kids. The entire school has a goal of raising $500,000 and our family has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $5,000. But any amount, no matter how small or large is helpful and greatly appreciated. Please help our community with a donation to this amazing educational facility! All donations will go directly to The Ivy School and are TAX DEDUCTIBLE as The Ivy School is a 501(c)3 non-profit and the EIN is 20-4681686.

The Ivy School
Ivy School is currently a 1st-8th grade Public Montessori Charter School located in Northeast and North Portland. The Ivy School offers an affordable Montessori curriculum and equal educational opportunities to a diverse set of Portland students regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, color, national origin, or disability. Ivy School students engage in a dynamic Montessori curriculum, which allows for exploration of the world around them. Through creative and challenging multi-sensorial instruction, Ivy School students develop critical thinking skills necessary to be global citizens. Ivy School educators are reflective by implementing best practices through Montessori philosophy and materials, state standards, authentic assessment, and student interest. By partnering with parents and the community, The Ivy School is a safe place where all students can learn, develop and grow.

The photo above was from last week's overnight field trip to a local farm near Silverton, OR. This is an annual trip where the kids learn to care for the farm, build relationships, harvest food and feed the animals. This was Sophie's 3rd year visiting the farm and is arguably one of her favorite experiences at The Ivy School.
