On Saturday, Decemeber 13th....a truck was stopped at a red light after leaving a horse show where Missy ran barrels and poles. The truck was hauling a trailer with a 14 year old girl's precious cargo in the back. "Missy"....a 13 year old quarter horse.  A red truck struck the trailer and killed the unsuspecting horse inside. While the occupants of the truck pulling Missy escaped with minor injuries....Missy made the ultimate sacrifice.  Megan, Missy's owner...and Bri, Missy's most current lessee are now faced with the cost of putting Missy to rest. Equine cremation is a proper and dignified way to put this wonderful horse to rest. Help Missy make her final run home....

I am closing the donation fund tomorrow around 4 pm. If anyone would like to donate that has not had the opportunity, please do so asap. We all appreciate the generosity of the horse community and Facebook users!

Hey everyone. If you've checked the page lately, you'll see that the amount has gone down. The reason for that is that I caught several fraudulent donations having been made and contacted customer support. It's very frustrating that someone would be so heartless to do that on such a great cause. I just can't wrap my head around exactly what they get out of it. But to those that made LEGIT donations.... thank you.

Holy crap. We have DOUBLED our goal. Making the call today to pay for Missy's cremation and she can come home to her girls. The money left after passing for that will go towards any unpaid bills that insurance might not cover, and if there aren't any.... then the money will be saved until the girls are ready to get another horse. Obviously not something that's going to happen right away, but in time. Thank you all so very much for your generosity and kind words. I am absolutely in shock and awe at the overwhelming support!

I am in complete awe of the generosity and support that these families have received from the community thank you all so much that have donated, shared, and send prayers and good thoughts. We have surpassed our goal by quite a bit, but the families incurred other costs than just this one due to this tragedy. If you would like to continue to donate it would be greatly appreciated so that they can put all of this behind them and bring Missy home. Thank you all again so very much.

I really wish I could donate at least a little… I know what you're going through and how hard it is to lose such an important member of your family, as I recently lost one of my own at the beginning of November. Thoughts and prayers going to you.
