Trying to get pregnant is a journey that requires hope, ups & downs and lots of pregnancy tests. Sadly, many families struggle to conceive. Infertility is still very much a taboo topic which most do not speak about. The sadness runs too deep.
For anyone that knows Tanya, you already know that she is a beautiful caring soul who adores her nieces and just how much she desires to be a mother. Tanya & Vinny both work full time, run a household, and enjoy the company of their two feline fur babies. The infertility struggle is heartbreaking and with time running out, they’re facing an uphill battle.
Tanya has been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome [for those who don’t know, this is a hormone imbalance which makes it very difficult to get pregnant on your own]. She is doing everything within her power to combat the disease, by eating healthy, exercising and taking medication. Add on the tick-tock of a biological clock [she has been told that she has less than 2 years to complete IVF before it will no longer be an option]. Time is of the utmost importance.
One of the most stressful pieces of IVF is the financial aspect [the process can typically cost between $12-$15,000 per attempt] - it is very expensive and also sad that insurance companies don’t cover infertility treatments. The fertility clinic in Calgary, Alberta has a plan set up for this family, Tanya & Vinny just need enough funds raised for a round of IVF.
