HALIFAX Ad Campaign - www.iVegan.ca

Help us put  informative, creative, and thought-provoking iVegan ad posters in Halifax, Nova Scotia!

UPDATE: We reached our goal!  We can't thank you enough for your support! Posters are scheduled to come to life on April 10th, 2017. You will be able to see them at all 3 ferry terminals in Halifax and Dartmouth. But there is MORE!!! We had enough money to add a billboard to our campaign. It is scheduled to go up on May 1, 2017. This is so exciting and we can't wait! Thank you again for your support and for helping us spread the message of compassion for farm animals.

Be part of a new to Halifax ad campaign with a 100% vegan message to change hearts and minds – one Haligonian at a time. A small group of generous donors has already stepped up to get the fundraising rolling. One of them has agreed to match every additional dollar contributed, dollar for dollar, which means your contribution goes double the distance in helping us reach our goal! Every dollar counts. The more money we fundraise, the more posters we can purchase.

As soon as we reach our goal, Halifax ferry riders will come face-to-face with the question, “Why Love One But Eat the Other?” This question challenges people to think about their daily food choices, utilizing the powerful tool of cognitive dissonance by highlighting the similarities between animals we call “friend” and those we call “food”.  Canadian food industry facts and figures feature prominently in the campaign.

By contributing to this campaign, you help ensure these vegan posters will be seen every day for 12 weeks. Your participation will help people make more ethical food choices and will help change the world for animals.

Previous versions of the “Why Love One But Eat the Other” poster campaign have been run in Toronto and in cities across Canada. The reactions to those campaigns were profound, leading to extensive media coverage, raising mainstream awareness about the vegan lifestyle, and resulting in many individuals and entire families adopting a vegan diet. You can view the video here. The spin-off benefits include reduced consumption of animal products (which is great for animals!), reduced impact on the planet, health benefits to humans who modified their diets, and reduced strain on the health-care system.

With the support of donors like you and with support from Toronto Pig Save we can launch an updated version of this ad campaign. 100% of the money raised will cover the advertising and printing costs. The posters will be re-designed by a volunteer graphic designer. All other campaign work is being done by a team of local volunteers.

Toronto Pig Save is a grassroots animal rights group "erecting glass walls" at Toronto area slaughterhouses in order to encourage people to choose vegan, protect the environment, and support farm sanctuaries. Toronto Pig Save calls for a just transition for workers as we adjust our food economy to a plant-based diet. Learn more about us here: www.torontopigsave.org

The www.iVegan.ca posters:

Halifax ferry terminal posters are life sized eye-level displays (68"H x 47"W) in three terminals located in Woodside, Dartmouth and Halifax. The ferry terminals get a lot of traffic. While people wait for the ferries they will have the opportunity to see and read our ads.
We can't wait to bring these posters to life!
