Our rescue, It's a Dogs Life Rescue of NJ, has been in operation for a little more than a year now. In that time we have rescued and successfully rehomed 34 dogs and cats.
All of our rescues are examined by a vet, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested (dogs), vaccinated, and chipped prior to being offered for adoption. We spend approximately $400 per dog and $300 per cat, which includes everything listed above and additionally any housing/foster costs until they are rehomed.
Based on our projected rescues for 2017, our operating expenses, and the monies we receive in adoption fees, we expect a budgetary shortfall for the year of approximately $12,000.

Our mission is to remove animals from abusive or non-sustainable situations and find them their forever homes. We rescue adoptable dogs and cats from city shelters or accept them from families that can no longer care for them. We are proud of our history of matching the right pet with the right person or family.
