By now, you may have heard of the teachers salary debacle situation going on in our great alumni- ABSUISSU. Our hands are tied in in-terms of how effective we can be in helping to salvage the situation. We have resolved in the interim to proceed with presentation of food/relief items to our Alumni Staff Teachers in Nigeria this Easter to help them take care of their families due to non- payment of salaries for months.
I know how fundraising fatigued we've all become BUT We are approximately 30 in this group, hence an individual non-mandatory benevolent contribution of £20 or $30 will get us there (going beyond this minimum is voluntary). We have only 5 days to make this magic happen. I have great confidence that WE can do this.
Through this fund raising medium, let's call upon ourselves and our better angels to step up to the plate. This money will be going to the National Alumni body to support their effort towards this cause.
