IRIS House is a not-for-profit corporation in Windsor, Ontario that provides safe and secure supportive housing and services for persons with persistent serious mental illness (PSMI) such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. IRIS House has served almost 200 individuals in the first 10 years of operation and while some have transitioned successfully out into the community, some still reside at IRIS House and have broken the cycle of repeated visits to hospitals, saving millions in health, justice and emergency tax dollars in our community.
IRIS House is currently seeking donations to renovate old rooms to create space for family visitations. This renovation will allow IRIS residents the space to enjoy and spend quality time with family and friends in a private setting. Family support is a major contribution to improving health amongst individuals with mental illness and ALL donations raised will go towards this renovation. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
