Ishmael Escalante Funeral Service

On the night of December 7th,  2014 at approximently 10:22pm in the city of Merced, Ishmael (Ish) Escalante was murdered by an unknown masked gunman. While the police are working to catch his killer, our family is struggling with this devastating loss.  Those who were lucky enough to meet Ishmael know that he was a caring, kind, and loving person with a big heart; he was always helping others. Ish was a big teddy bear known for giving the very best bear hugs. He was an only child and had no children of his own and this makes his loss even greater to our family. The pain and void we feel seems unbearable. 

Ish was the light of our lives and so full of life. He loved to meet new people and he embraced everyone he met. He loved to cook and was  daring enough to try new foods or come up with crazy concoctions of his own and share them with us. He loved superheros, especially Batman. Since he was two, he cheered for the SF 49ers. Win or lose that was his team. He enjoyed going to the movies, hanging out with his friends and watching UFC.   He loved All types of music and boy oh boy He LOVED to dance. Everyone who knew Ish, knew that boy could Dance! You couldn't get him off the dance floor. 

Any donations to help our family with funeral expenses and fees pertaining to this tragedy would be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine, Ish was a young man and had no end of life plans in place. We never could have imagined losing our beloved Ish so soon.
