International BotBall Competition

The Robotics team of Independence High School from San Jose, CA consists of 20 members and has recently won 2nd place at the 2018 BotBall Competition. Since this is our first win, the team is dedicated to proceed to the International BotBall Competition at Indian Wells, CA. It is a tournament lasting from July 25 to 29, a total of 7 days and 6 nights.
The team lacks the funding necessary for transportation, lodging and food to Indian Wells, CA. We are a Title 1 school, meaning that nearly 50% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Many IHS Robotics members do not have enough financial support to attend the International Competition. Members from the team are exceptional and love to learn from real hands on experiences. This experience will provide us with another perspective of the tech industry through competing and attending the numerous panels at this International Tournament.
We hope to raise enough money to be able to attend the competition and gain insight on the various aspects of engineering.
