Interlochen 2019

Around this time last year, Skylar began to talk about returning to the Interlochen Center for the Arts, specifically to attend their renowned Musical Theatre program.  Despite the rigorous four-step audition process, highly competitive admission and formidable tuition, we encouraged her to try.  The moments we have seen her perform onstage have been stunning...she has a presence that is breathtaking, acting and singing talent that is enormous and exudes a joy that is rare and exquisite.  She tackled the audition process without hesitation and was delighted to be awarded a spot in the program - this guarantees her a role in the full-scale musical production performed at the end of the summer!  She will spend 6 weeks in her element, working with famous Broadway actors and coaches!  
We humbly are reaching out to those who have helped shepherd and love her - especially as she grows as an artist. We are hopeful we can raise the tuition needed for this opportunity - she leaves June 21st!

I've dreamed of returning to Interlochen Center for the Arts ever since leaving. Interlochen is a place that fosters growth and spurs the imagination of young artists from all over the world. Four years ago, I attended the camp to study piano. I formed lifelong friendships, saw incredible concerts, and studied under sensational teachers. This summer, I'll be studying musical theatre under the direction of experienced professionals and alongside other aspiring musicians like me. Musical theatre is a passion that fills my life with joy. I've taken part of numerous productions at my school, both onstage and off. Every aspect of the process is one that excites me. Next month, I plan to embark on a 6-week journey to the beautiful woods of Michigan where art lives, thrives, and runs wild. Thank you immensely for your support. My heart is full of gratitude.
