We started Ink & Thread three years ago. Despite posessing solid talent and experience, we had no business background or leadership skills.
Presently, we own and operate a custom apparel, studio printing and embroidey shop in West Hollywood. We cater primarily to the motion picture/television industry but also enjoy and are quite adept at making one-of-a-kind shirts, jackets, etc., for any customer.
Our reputation is highlighted by our unique ability in solving last-minute problems. When our competitors have made themselves unavaialble, we can always be found assisting people in need...In the face of deadlines that sound insurmountable to meet, we continually make ourselves available and produce a quality product. We literally have worked many a night and on into morning light in order to complete jobs.
Our buisness has grown substantially in the past few years. Along with that growth we have learned important lessons about the realities and difficulties of running a buisness. It is extremely frustrating to know that despite pouring our heart and soul into running this shop, financial difficulties associated with taxes and other fidicuary matters have placed the continuance of business in jeopardy.
In order for us to keep our shop running, we are asking for help from anyone, perhaps anyone we've had the pleasure of working for in the past, those who have left pleased after we've succesfully helped their own deadline-driven, work-related needs as we worked into the night... and then the morning to complete the task at hand.
When our rent is due on the first of the month our landlord has been amazingly understanding, knowing that we are still relative newcomers to the buisness management aspect of our work and the trials and tribulations that come with owning and operating our own business.
