The Indy SurviveOars is Indiana's only dragon boat racing team. We are a group of dedicated breast cancer survivors and supporters committed to the cause of breast cancer. Our mission is to help provide breast cancer survivors with a strong message of hope, inspiration and encouragement by creating a floating support group. The sport of dragon boating was introduced to breast cancer survivors as a means for physical rehabilitation and has blossomed into one of the most unique support groups for cancer survivors.

The Indy SurviveOars organization is rapidly expanding its membership and needs your help and support for the upkeep and replacement of equipment and to help us with the growing cost of operating our team. Help keep our group going strong and paddling well into the future!!

The Indy SurviveOars are in need of your help more than ever. Last week, there was an accident that left one of our boats heavily damaged (no one was hurt thankfully). We are now down to one boat that fits 20 with 40 people wanted to get in it. With 3 more races left in the season, this will pose a challenge from a training stand point. Every little bit counts! Even if you have already donated, please share with others. And for those of you following along last weekend, you can see how all our training paid off by taking the women's division in Chicago!!

Please consider helping out the team.

Spring is here and we are just a couple of weeks away from starting our season. This weekend I was privileged to work with our two sister breast cancer survivor teams from Kentucky. I continue to be amazed at what this sport has done for breast cancer survivors everywhere. Exciting things are in store for us this season. Please consider a small donation to help us continue to realize our mission statement!

We are making progress! I met with our new members a couple of weeks ago and was taken aback at the age range and how we keep getting younger and younger women joining the team. These women need a long term plan to maintain their physical health and emotional support. That is what this team is all about. Please consider helping our team out. No donation is too small!!

This team gave me my life back. Please help us carry on to be able to do this for so many more who have had breast cancer, and give them the opportunity to become SurviveOars!
