In support of Jerrilyn Dawm

This go fund me campaign is in support of Jerrilyn Dawm and her family. Many of you know Jerrilyn as a friend, neighbour, friends mom, beloved community member or simply the very friendly lady from the Coop grocery store, who always makes time to ask how you and your family are. What you may not know, is that Jerrilyn began to feel very ill at the beginning of March 2017. She believed it was an inner ear infection and tried to work through the pain, but after two weeks could no longer manage to stand for more than a short period of time and was too frequently, philysically ill. She was admitted to the hospital, where her symptoms only worsened. She was then sent to North Battleford for a head CT scan, where they unfortunately discovered Jerrilyn had several tumours in her brain. From North Battleford she was sent to Saskatoon. Doctors determined the cancer was also in Jerrilyns lungs and kidneys. Devastatingly, there is no treatment that can help Jerrilyn and doctors have given her an estimated two months left to spend with her children and grandchildren. Jerrilyn raised two children, Jen Durette and Travis Winterhalt as a single parent. As this was very sudden and unexpected, Jerrilyn did not have much in the way of insurance.For anyone who has ever had a conversation with Jerrilyn, you likely know that her children and grandchildren are her absolute pride and joy and that she would never want to put them in any sort of hard or stressful situation. As a community there is not much we can do for Jerrilyn, but we can ensure that future costs are covered and do not fall as a hard burden on her family.
