On January 17, 2019 The Pepe family’s lives were flipped upside down. It started when Drea their youngest daughter who is five years old had been sick for almost 2 months. Her symptoms were nausea, dizziness and vomiting. Doctors kept telling them that it was a viral infection and that she would eventually get better. But after two months and numerous trips to her family doctor and the emergency room, her symptoms were only getting worse. She was having trouble walking, was only comfortable while lying down on her right side and couldn’t keep any food down. Finally a CT scan was ordered and they received the shocking news that a tumor was found inside the 4th ventricle of her brain.

Luckily they didn’t have to wait long for the surgery and on Monday January 28, 2019 the tumor was successfully removed.

This led to more unanswered questions about the type of tumor it was and after a few long agonizing weeks of waiting they learned the devastating news that Drea was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma Group 3 tumor an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Drea is a strong, funny, sassy and caring little sister to Nicolas and Adriana. She is adored by all who know her (especially her siblings) for her spunk and love of life. She’s a typical 5 year old girly girl who loves make up, watching YouTube, making dancing and singing videos and the ladies of WWE wrestling.

Drea’s battle ahead will be long and uncertain. Drea is set to start chemotherapy that will last approximately 6-8 months. The Pepe’s continue to research and explore different kinds of treatment options available for this type of aggressive pediatric brain cancer. Unfortunately there is minimal research done for this type of tumor in Drea’s age group. This has made putting together her treatment plan a painful and difficult process for the family.

Drea is in for a long hard battle but she is a fighter. With everyone’s continued encouragement she will fight and fight hard. Mike, Mandy, Nicolas and Adriana will be by her side every step of the way. Mike and Mandy are taking extended leaves from their jobs and we want to help lighten the financial stress that will no doubt be added. We are starting this go fund me for them so that they can do that. Help their little girl in the fight of her life.

Mike and Mandy would never ask for help for themselves but anyone who knows them knows that they would be the first to help others. For this reason, we’ve decided to create this Go Fund Me Campaign on their behalf.

Please, if you are able to help support this family it is very much appreciated.
