In Memory of Tyler Marks

Tyler Marks passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 28. He leaves behind his mother, Julie, and sister, Aimee. Tyler was a dutiful son who lived at home to care for his mother, and loved his family deeply.

 

He was an extremely kind and caring young man, always there to listen and talk with. He had a great affection for animals of which he had many, as well as a passion for plants, and anything that he could share his compassion and care for. He was selfless and loving, and had so much to give to others.

 

For the past twelve years Tyler worked at Cineplex Metropolis. In his role as a Cast Leader and Supervisor, he had the opportunity to affect many lives of the staff that came and went over the years. His peers would describe him as a funny guy, knowledgeable, with so much passion for the industry. He was always open to listen to anyone who needed to talk, and could always find common ground to bond with others over. He often would check in with others to see how they were doing, and would pick up shifts to cover staff who needed time off. He was very appreciative, always saying thank you to the team for helping out, while on the other hand would always be the first to jump in and help his team when they needed support. When it came to training, Tyler had a wealth of knowledge that he loved to share with others, always providing ongoing coaching and guidance to his team. He was always happy to answer questions, and was great in dealing with the many Guests that visited the theatre. He was a special individual with a genuine, good heart.

 

Tyler has had an enormously large impact in his home, with his friends and especially within his Cineplex community. He will be greatly missed, and always greatly loved.

 

In lieu of flowers, the Marks family has requested that donations be made to assist in covering the cost of his memorial service and other related expenses. Any donation, no matter the size, is greatly appreciate to help support Tyler’s family through this unimaginable loss.
