In Memory of Hilaire Hennessy

As most of you know, Hilaire Hennessy passed away unexpectedly last Friday, July 5, 2019, and as is the way with these things, his wife Erin will be faced with not only the fiscal responsibilities of life moving forward, but those unexpected ones associated with this type of event; never an easy task while in the midst of grief, no matter the situation.
In my relatively short time of knowing both Erin and Hilaire, I've discovered why there is such a wellspring of love and gratitude in this community for them both. She's never at a shortage of amazing food and baked goods to share, offering help and perennial starters for my garden, loving conversation and a true welcoming heart. I'm sure if I've received that much from her, there are plenty of other stories of her generosity throughout this community and beyond.
Now is our turn to give back and show her how much those raspberry key lime pies, fresh eggs, and open arms of hers (and his) have meant to all of us over the years. Please donate what you can, and share this fundraiser far and wide. It's our way of giving back to Erin, in honor of Hilaire whose light will shine over us all for years to come. Erin has humbly (albeit hesitantly) approved this effort, and all proceeds will go directly to her.
Hilaire's Memorial was Sunday, July 14, at 2pm at the Weathersfield Center Church in Weathersfield, VT. Thank you to the multitude of friends and family who gathered to pay tribute to Hilaire and surround Erin and their family with love and support.
Another example of Erin's ongoing generosity was her first inclination to raise funds for a cause to help the community.
