After 9 tough months, Giuseppe Di Niro lost his battle to ampullary cancer on October 2nd, 2019.
He was diagnosed with ampullary cancer in December 2018, which had metastasized to the liver making it inoperable & incurable. Joe always kept a good morale with the support of his wife, children, grandchild, family & friends. However, we cannot forget the incredible team who stood by his side through this tough battle. The Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital oncology team offered the best medical options available and supported Joe throughout his journey, whilst ensuring his well-being and respecting his wishes.
Unfortunately, treatments did not have a positive outcome and Joe became gravely ill and placed in HMR palliative care. The team treated him with the upmost respect and dignity and ensured the comfort of his short stay.
