In Memory of Ellen Hovey

Ellen Hovey was a devoted mother and wife, dedicated friend, and fierce advocate for people living with Down syndrome. Her unwavering energy and commitment to her family and to her community paved the way for greater inclusion, acceptance, and opportunities for all people living with disabilities. Ellen never backed down from a challenge, and she faced her last challenge head on, with fierceness and faith, always hopeful that she would conquer ovarian cancer and be there to see
Jeremy graduate from High School. Sadly, Ellen went to be with her Lord last week, and though we have faith that she will be there with Jeremy as he graduates, it will not be the way we had all prayed for.
As her family adjusts to a new life without their warrior, we in her community want to support them as best we can. Ellen has always been there for everyone in our community in a time of need, and we want to be there for her family now. We are hoping you can help us to provide support for her husband Dave, and son, Jeremy. Our goal is to provide house cleaning services, and meal support, as well as any other needs that arise, as they adjust to this new life. Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
