In Memory of Baby Jessie Thao

Hi everyone,

I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes of raising money to help with unexpected hospital and funeral costs for the son (my nephew) of my sister Stacy Yang and her boyfriend Ay Thao.


On July 28th 2018 they found out they were expecting their first child. Eventually they found out they were having a boy due sometime around March 2019. I know my sister was beyond happy and excited, but she also had complications during the course of her pregnancy. She had to quit her job and her doctor ordered her on bed rest as a precaution.

Then on November 13th, 2018 my nephew Jessie Thao was born prematurely. My sister was only 22 weeks along. He already had his mommy’s nose and his daddy’s eyebrows, but the doctors were not able to save him as he took his last breath approximately two hours after his birth. It was extremely heartbreaking. His time on earth was short, but he was already so loved...and I know he will be missed forever.

I can’t even begin to imagine what Stacy and Ay are going through. But I am trying my best to help them in any way possible so that they can grieve without worrying about how they will give their son the funeral service he deserves. I would be forever grateful for any help... even if it’s not monetary - it can be words of love and comfort or coming to say one last goodbye to baby Jessie on Monday November 19th at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton, WI. After we will be laying him to rest at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery - next to my daddy and grandpa.
