In Memory of Ariana Busuttil

Her Story...
On the 31st of October our little girl Ariana Celeste Busuttil was born. On her second day of life she was put into the Neonatal intensive care unit because of her blood sugar levels and her lactic acid levels. From that day onwards life for our family was like a rollercoaster. The ups were full of her beautiful smiles and seeing her light up around her beloved brother. The lows were seeing her constantly in hospital. She regularly had to get bloodtests to check her lactate levels in her blood. She had to always get her heart monitored. Everyday she vomited most feeds and she needed annasal gastric tube and pump to get her milk.
Ariana had an undiagnosed metabolic condition, Ectopic Atrial Tachycardia and mild bilateral hearing loss. So daily life was hard for her but through it all she showed a strength that floored us all.
The Mount Isa Pediactrics Ward worked tirelessly with our family whilst Ariana was alive. The doctors and nurses were a pillar of stength throughout the countless times Ariana needed to be seen at the ward. We felt and still feel like the staff were members of our family who fought through every moment to keep our little girl with us.
At four months of age Ariana passed away after her body could not fight anymore.
We have decided to raise funds in her name so it may help other children and their families during hard times of sickness.
Please help our cause by donating to raise funds for the Mount Isa Pediactrics Ward in hopes to buy a Dash 4000 patient monitor.
