We are devastated to share that Melissa (Kennedy) Williams has lost her battle with leukemia on Sunday, February 17 at the young age of 37. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and was loved by so many. She was the most caring and generous person and would do anything for anyone. She is leaving behind her husband, Chris Williams, and her 5 children.
Melissa was first diagnosed in 2015 while 32 weeks pregnant with their twins, who then had to be born prematurely so she could begin treatment. After 3 ½ years of fighting and being in remission 3 times, the graft vs host disease became more severe in the recent months and she was admitted to the hospital 3 weeks ago. They were trying everything they could, but on Thursday the family was suddenly notified that there was just nothing more that could be done and recommended moving on to hospice care. In just 3 short days, her fight has come to an end. Her family is going to miss her dearly, but are relieved that she isn’t in pain anymore and is finally at peace.
We ask for your help during this difficult time as there is no life insurance in place for her. All donations will go towards funeral expenses to give her the proper burial she deserves.
