IN LOVING MEMORY OF IAN TOMLIN

Donation protected
Ian Tomlin was a loving father, son, brother, friend and neighbour. He was a valued member of the community and well-liked by all who knew him. After leaving work early on Wednesday the 17th October 2018, Ian was savagely murdered by a group of cowards on his own doorstep in Charlotte Despard Avenue, Battersea. He died a few yards away from his house.

Ian was killed because he stood up to drug dealers who had been selling drugs on his doorstep. A true hero, he wanted to protect his children and his community and had on many occasions stood up to the drug dealers.

Ian had been a boxer in his youth and was also training; he loved life, boxing, community and above all his family. His life is a great loss to all who knew him, but above all to his very young children.

We want justice for Ian and we also want his legacy to go on and his life to be honoured. Our family want to give Ian the funeral and memorial service he deserves to restore some balance of peace that has been ripped out from us by these murderers.

The funds raised will be used to help pay for his funeral, set up a trust fund for his young children, who have lost their father and provider and set up the DUCT- DIVINE UNITED CONSCIOUS TRUST.

In memory of Ian Tomlin,  which will fundraise for a boxing referral academy and other services in the area to heal the community and provide a safe space for children and young people away from crime and violence.

The centre will keep Ian’s memory alive in providing a safe space for young people to socialise and train. We want to help tackle the ever increasing problem of violent crime in London, as our capital has seen 15,000 incidences of knife crime over this past year. In providing this space we hope to draw young people away from drugs and crime so that no more families suffer the way we are suffering.

The behaviour of people taking another life clearly shows the instability and depravity within their own character.
There have been many closures of youth clubs that are leading our young people to live a life of crime.
We want to draw them back to a safe life, a life with hope and community.
Young people are shaped by their childhood experiences and by their community.
Some have good childhood and community experiences, some have bad ones.
The bad ones can often lead them to self-destruct and destroy others which has been a continuous cycle.

The boxing referral academy would be a place for reparation and self-assurance through the art of boxing and support of peers with workshops to train the mind as well as the body.

This would also be a multipurpose centre for the community facilitating many different services & activities such as training & employment, apprenticeship programmes, drop in probation officer, performing art's, dance & fitness and much more.

We would especially love for people in the boxing profession to come forward and help to get this established.
Also for people that can help with apprenticeship training.

Anyone that can help with the set up of the centre.
Please get in contact with us.

We want Ian’s name to be remembered for something other than the man who was killed by drug dealers. We want his name to be remembered for the great man that he was .

Withdrawal plan's are below.
