Frank James Medbery "Franky" passed away March 30, 2017.
Franky was the kindest, sweetest, funniest boy. He had a way of putting people at ease and accepted everyone for who they were. He was born in Boston and was a New England sports fan - especially the Red Sox. Franky had been learning guitar for a year and was great at it. His favorite songs to play were "Come As You Are" and "Today." He had a beautiful singing voice, which very few people heard because he was shy about it. Franky had a soft spot for animals. He loved his dog Darius, they were inseparable. Franky also loved roller coasters, swimming, movies and dessert. He was so funny and always ready with a witty or sarcastic retort that made you wonder how someone so young could be so smart. His favorite subjects were math and social studies. He wanted to be a pediatrician and was learning software coding. He made video games using scratch coding and liked to draw. He loved Dave & Buster's, minecraft, sushi and his favorite meal was Hibachi. No one gave better hugs. His laugh was contagious. His favorite songs were "Lithium" by Nirvana and "Misery" by Maroon 5. Franky was a devoted and doting big brother who spoiled his little sister. He would do anything for his family and friends. He was sensitive and so kind. Franky baby you touched so many with your beautiful soul. Smile down on us from heaven my love.
Beloved son of Julia Medbery and Frank Medbery. Loving brother of Eden, Mason and Max. Cherished grandson of Myungja Koo and the late Norman Gadoury. Cousin of Aidan, Teagan and Phoenix. Nephew of Joan Glass.
Money raised will help cover expenses as Julia and Eden mourn the loss of their son and big brother.
Frank's family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4, from 2-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond and Sons - Price Chapel, 3725 Rochester Road, Troy, MI 48083 (between Big Beaver and Wattles). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Visitation on Wednesday begins at 10 a.m.
