In honor of Jade Skye Perkins

On Tuesday August 6, 2019, our lives suffered a painful loss as our sweet Jade Skye Perkins passed away very unexpectedly. Jade was born with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). This is a birth defect that we were unaware of and could have only been diagnosed if Jade had ever needed a chest X-ray, but Jade had always lived a healthy and happy life.
Jade was born on October 1, 2007 to her loving parents Craig Perkins and Danae Phipps. Jade was so loved by her grandparents Don and Reiko Perkins and grandma Dawn Madden. Her Uncles and Aunts Brad and Emily Perkins, Josiah Phipps, Andrew and Mandy Dethloff. And her cousins Sye Phipps and Kallie Schneider. This love grew as her cousin, Austin, entered the world. The two became best friends! Austin so deeply loved his cousin Jade.
Jade has countless friends and family who love and miss her more than words can say. Jade would have been entering the 7th grade at Century Middle School.
Jade was a beautiful soul, radiating happiness inside and out. She made sure those around her felt loved and always made sure they were laughing. Jade had an incredible talent and love for swimming, painting, drawing, and Martial Arts! She was a very talented artist and could draw anything she saw.
Our sweet girl loved rainbows and the colors teal and blue. She loved to watch Riverdale, Stranger Things, and especially Harry Potter!! As a proud member of Gryffindor, her favorite character was Luna Lovegood. Jade also loved Todoroki from My Hero Academia. Jade was wise beyond her years as she preferred to use reusable straws to help protect sea turtles. This list of a few of Jade's favorite things is so the next time you watch a Harry Potter movie, or see a beautiful rainbow, you can think of our sweet girl.
Jade was taken from us too soon. No words can truly explain the pain we feel from missing a piece of our hearts. The Perkins Family has been through a terrible tragedy and need our love and support to get them through this time.
Every effort was made by Jade's family and her doctors to save her life. With those efforts come unfortunate expenses. In loving memory of Jade, we ask that you assist the family with medical and funeral expenses in any way that you can. Your financial assistance can support the family in their efforts to be together, to grieve, and to remember our beautiful Jade. Funeral service details to come soon.
