CREATIVE KIDS NON-PROFIT START UP

Donation protected
Thank you for visiting our “Creative Kids Nonprofit Startup” Campaign! Your donation of $20 will go a long way! Take a moment to see how your support will help Creative Kids grow!

As mentioned in the video above, we started out on this journey with one goal in mind – to inspire children to use their imaginations while teaching them the value of creativity and literacy. Now that we have had a chance to connect with the community, the need to provide children with opportunities to create is even more visible.

OUR GOAL...

We are currently raising funds through Go Fund Me to cover our Non-Profit startup costs. We hope to reach $1500 by the end of 2016. We would love to receive your $20 donation today!

Your financial contribution will help us:

-Become a NonProfit Organization

- Host creative family workshops and events

- Organize field trips and camps

- Create an interactive website

- Qualify for grants

- Continue our Creative Kids fairs

- Become a permanent source of creative inspiration for kids in underserved communities

We couldn’t be more excited to take the next step on this awesome journey and we truly appreciate any contribution you are able to make!

Why is there a need for an organization
like Creative Kids?

Jasmine:
Children are not being exposed to the arts in their general lives. Many schools have cut music and art programs and some schools have limited resources that would be allotted to teach art to children. Without the arts and creativity children lose their individuality.

Gloria:
Although children naturally posses the desire to create, that energy can become a source of frustration if they don't receive support. We teach parents to be present and encourage their child to explore their imaginations freely. When creativity is paired with confidence, there’s nothing that can limit one’s vision and desire to discover.

If Creative Kids was around when you were a child, how would that have impacted you?

Jasmine:
I would have tried other mediums to create and learned at an early age that the process is more important than the product.

Gloria:
I was very shy and would usually only create and express myself around family and friends that I was comfortable with. Creating and connecting with other kids like me would have opened me up to the idea of sharing my ideas and talent in unfamiliar spaces.

What are some of the things you want to do through the Creative Kids organization?

Jasmine:

A.
Build a community for children, families, and schools using art and literacy.

B.
Impart the importance of creativity to children and parents.

Gloria:

A.
Teach parents the importance of their presence and how their children can benefit from creating.

B.
Create opportunities for children to be introduced to and fall in love with literacy, art, and the creative process.
