Igor's surgery

I am an Indian immigrant living in Australia for the past 6 years. I am a Type 1 Diabetic, a diabetes activist and a blogger. I run a blog for my website  www.alittlebitofsugar.com. Igor is a Russian blue cross, my companion and buddy while I am here, far from my family and friends. I am a casual waitress trying hard to make ends meet while struggling with Type 1 Diabetes. Igor started limping in October last year and seemed to be in a lot of pain, regardless of any physical injury. After a couple of vet visits and medications all in vain, the vet advised me to get a CT scan done costing me a whopping $750. Being a waitress, I do not enjoy the best of compensation in terms of salaries but still, I cut short my expenses and managed to save up $750 in a duration of three months for a CT scan earlier this week. The results came out and he was diagnosed to have both of his hip joints abnormally functioning,  causing him a lot of pain while walking. The vet has advised getting a Femoral Head Ostectomy done in another week or two as leaving it untreated will cause him Arthritis. No matter how hard I try, my medication expenses won’t let me gather enough funds to get it done while the time is ticking. I do not have time enough to delay it any further either. I have had him since he was an 8 weeks old kitten and now, he’s about 2 years old. Igor helped me look at the silver lining of my life at a time when I was going through depression dealing with my personal medical problems and being away from family and home. I never resort to gathering funds from anyone else for my needs, but this situation has left me with no other viable option at this point.
