Our Precious Pug "Iggy" got hit early this morning. Iggy is a very important part of our family. We received Iggy from friends about 2 years ago and ever since then he has become our precious boy. Iggy sleeps each night with our daughters who are his best friends.
Unfortunately this morning after letting him and Susie our Lab out like I do every morning, I went to the door to let them back in only to find neither was at the door. I called both of their names and saw Susie come running up the driveway and then noticed a truck stopped at the end of the driveway. I got that horrible feeling and knew that one of the dogs had been hit. The very nice gentleman who hit Iggy started down our driveway and then I knew it happened. We are so appreciative that this gentleman stopped and did not just keep going. There is good people out there and this gentleman is an angel to us! I just kept praying that he would be okay.
After rushing him to At Home Veterinary X-rays showed broken femur bone along with dislocated hip and a few other broken bones . We spent over $250 for the X-Rays and the visit. We then headed to Norway Animal Hospital where Iggy has undergone 2 surgeries on both of his back legs. We were given an estimate of around $2500 for this but it could be more now that he had to have 2 surgeries.
Jeremy and I hate to ask for financial help with this but this will be a huge financial burden to us, especially with the winter months upon us. This little man is such a big part of our family, so his health is our biggest priority.
We have been blessed to find out that it was just broken bones and no internal injuries. It would mean so much to us if you would be willing to help us with this journey.
