Ice Bucket Challenge for MND

We're pouring a bucket of ice on ourselves for a good cause, guys - not just for the hilarious squeals! We'll be doing the deed on Friday the 7th of December at The Pole Room Highett's Beach Christmas Party.

We want to help re-raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease, a terminal illness with no cure. MND (or ALS in the US) degrades the motor neurons in a person's body, rendering them gradually unable to use their limbs, toilet, eat, drink & eventually breathe. 

We want to raise money for MND Victoria, who so lovingly and thoroughly supported my Dad, Cliff Smart, through his battle with MND, & assisted in all aspects of his care - from equipment to keep him independent, to facilitating carers in the later stages of his life. Their staff are the epitome of empathetic & selfless, & we want to support them providing care to those who need it now that MND diagnoses are on the rise.
