'I CAN' - Festival of Children

Introduction
Hello Everyone!!! We are a group of students (8 to be exact) studying in KU Leuven in Brussels, Belgium. As most students we are a young and energetic bunch, although the latter cannot be said for everyone, and not by their choice. By this, I mean people with handicaps and disabilities, who without some God-given gifts are still able to move forward and make the best of their lives.
As per our school curricula, we are required to create and host an event of our choice. Since the beginning, everyone decided that an average, run-of-the-mill event would not work, and we came to the conclusion that an event which showcased the enormous strength of event the unluckiest people would be perfect.
During our event, we have planned to directly touch the future of our world, the children. As we believe that misconception is currently one of the biggest barriers in this subject matter, we will host “mini sports” for children where one or some of their body parts are limited. Aside from this being a fun activity for the kids, it will also act as a way for the children to, metaphorically, be in someone else’s shoes. Aside from that, we plan to have guest speakers, who have battled with these problems hand to hand their whole lives and provide overall entertainment to the children and their families.
All the money gathered in this event will be sent for charity to “Handicap International ”, in order to be of help to anyone in need across the globe!!
We sincerely thank everyone for all their contributions, and encourage you to continue to do so, as this money will all be invested toward a righteous and wholesome cause!! No contribution is too big or too small!! We thank you again!!
