As the Pastors of Holy Ghost Ridaz, we have been voluntarily living under the bridge in Dallas with all the homeless. We have been giving away tents, sleeping bags, clothing, hygiene and feeding everyone for the last 4 months and counting. This area is known as Tent City, which is home to about 300 people. The City of Dallas shut down the main Tent City on May 4th with no solution for hundreds of people. They were evacuated from the area and pushed into the old tent city and other areas of the city. With the current laws in Dallas, no one is allowed to be caught sleeping or drowsy in public or they will be ticketed. But we are taking a stand with a different approach. We may be a small army but we have a big God that says All things are possible through Him.
God has given us the vision to buy a piece of land and to start building a facil ity where we can house many. We know that it will be a timely process to complete and in the meantime we will relocate homeless people to this land so they will not be stuck wandering the streets of Dallas. We will have volunteers come in and help the homeless move their tents and their belongings unto the land we desire to purchase. This facility will be a place for anyone who is homeless, anyone from Tent City, anyone off the streets or anyone who is just tired of living their life in shelters. The homeless are people we love and care about. We want to raise $140,000, which is the number God has instilled in us for this vision. We need everybody's help on this one though. It doesn't matter your religion, no religion, your background, where you live or where you came from. We're putting all differences aside to make an impact on a community of people that are there from different walks of life and are down and out in their circumstance. We are a ministry with our 501c3 and can provide a receipt for your donation upon your request. We extend our gratitude to you and thank you sincerely for all the love, prayers and support!
