My name is Talia, Palestinian from Gaza , maybe you are thinking about how pretty I am!
This was my parent's first reaction when my sun shined. I saw the love of the world in their eyes. 3 months left, Mom Dania was talking to me the whole days, singing to me, playing with me and I was reacting but something made her feeling worry, she got really afraid!
Mom decided to take me to a doctor, she wanted to feel reassure, and that what was really happened. Everything was good, till the moment when the doctor said a word, was the worst my Mom ever heard!
"Talia can't hear you!"
Mom and Dad were shocked, and I was thinking, what does he mean? And how long did they know me to love me this much!
After days of crying with heartburn, they decided not to surrender. Tens of visits to doctors and they all met on one word that I can't hear anything_ literally_ anything!
My parents almost lost their power, but when they were looking at me smiling and laughing, this gave them the strength to continue what they started. And as I told you, there is a secret of their love even that I was just 3 months old, that is why they took the decision not to give up!
They didn't keep an effort to look for a treatment for their little Angle "me", like they were calling me. Finally, somehow they found a glimmer of hope for Talia!
"Talia has a dysplasia of vestibule and cochlea with non developed geniculate bilaterally and must has to undergo a Auditory Brainstem Implant (ABI) procedures in the ear, this will cost you 60000$!" The doctor said.
