I self-identify as a millionaire, but my bank account disagrees.
I don't own my own mansion, I drive a broken-down car and it's not even a Cadillac!
Despite this, I know that I'm supposed to be a millionaire. I should be driving around in my own Rolls Royce; if I were a billionaire, I'd have a chauferrist, but I don't feel that I'm supposed to be a billionaire. Only a millionaire.
I don't have an IRA, 401k, or a savings plan, but I identify as someone who knows what those things are.
