The Barry Wood Fund

The name of this photo is "Appomattox: Peace at Last" and it hangs on my wall in the living room. It is a picture of a confederate soldier resting against a fence after the surrender of Lee to Grant at the McClean house in Appomattox. The soldier rests before starting his long journey home. This photo is absolutely stunning and was taken at a civil war reinactment. The most amazing thing, the photographer was BLIND! His name was Barry Dean Wood and he died this morning from cancer. Barry now begins his long journey home. Over the past 24 hours, I have asked each of you for your support of a fellow dog handler, Joanne Kuchinski, as she prepared for this event. I asked you to give $10 to a special fund to ensure she could spend Barry's final days with him. I now ask you to help us reach the goal we need to make sure thru this Christmas season and transitional time that she does not have to worry about her bills. Please give $10 and thank you to the friends who have answered the call.
