Greers' Hurricane Harvey Recovery

Hurricane Harvey roared toward the Texas coast the last week of August.  Houston became ground-zero for flooding. As the storm made its way inland, rain continued to soak towns and cities from Brownsville up to Beaumont. Harvey made a second landfall on August 29 near the Texas- Louisiana border.
     Early the next morning, the home of Stephen and Lisa Greer flooded. The Greer family live in Orange, Tex. Water began inching into the house at 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 30. 
     Stephen and Lisa stood by and watched water fill their neighborhood and creep into their house. 
     The family evacuated Orange on Thursday, Aug. 31, coming back to Lisa's hometown of Brewton, Ala. A mandatory evacuation was ordered just after the family packed what belongings would fit into their car and left. 
     At this time, the Greers do not know the extent of damage to their home. The nearby Sabine River continued to rise as they left. The Greers know they have lost all carpet, baseboards, and many of their belongings. 
    I am asking that you give what you can to help the Greers offset the expenses they'll have when they return to Orange. Lisa and I have been close friends since childhood and I want to do what I can to help. I ask that you consider doing so, too.
     Lisa and Stephen are in Brewton with Gracie and Emrys until they're allowed to return to Orange. Please keep their family in your prayers.
