Hurley's Recovery

Hurley is 16 years old and is a sophomore in high school. On May 21st, my mother called the ambulance because Hurley was complaining that he couldn't breathe. He had done approximatley 3 breathing treatments before calling but once the ambulance arrived, they explained that they were taking him to UNC hospital in Chapel Hill. In a matter of a few minutes , his heart stopped for 3 minutes and they had to make an emergency stop in Hillsborough because they couldn't get a clear airway. Once they got him to Chapel Hill, they immediately put him on the Ecmo machine. His vitals have been slowly getting back to normal and they are trying to make him as comfortable as possible. He was taken off of the Ecmo machine on the 25th but he is still on the ventilator. He also has a mild case of pneumonia, he has a couple of issues regarding his blood pressure and a fever but they are taking care of that as quickly as possible. The reason we are making this account is to take care of some of the medical expenses that he will have. Throughout this long journey, keep him in your prayers and we just want to say Thank You in advance.
