Help Doris After Hurricane Maria

I’ve created this GoFundMe page for my good friend Doris Gerena Medina and husband Jr. Doris is like a sister to me, and has a kind heart, she is also a Cancer survivor. Doris and husband Jr. live in Jobos, Puerto Rico, and lost everything they owned during the devastation of hurricane Maria which destroyed our beautiful Island of Puerto Rico on September 20th, 2017. Before the hurricane’s arrival, Doris and Jr. decided to seek refuge elsewhere, and that was the smartest thing they did, because their home did not withstand the force in which that horrific hurricane hit us. After the hurricane, Doris and Jr. made their way back to their home, Jr. stayed behind to help clear the path with the neighbors. Doris proceeded to the house, and received the shock of her life, her heart sank upon seeing what hurricane Maria did to their house. The house they once called home, was destroyed. The roof caved in, windows blown out on the back part of the house, it was completely in shambles, destroyed. Had they not evacuated, they wouldn’t be alive today to tell their story. They now have to live inside a truck parked next to the house, cook on a grill, and have to bathe outside. That is heartbreaking to see. These are very sad times for many of us in Puerto Rico, and I’m here pleading for your kindness to help my friend Doris, and husband Jr., rebuild their home, so they can live a normal life again.
