Hunt Family Fire Relief Fund

On December 19th 2016, life dealt the Hunt family another hard blow in an already difficult year. Their lifelong home on North Street caught fire and is completely obliterated.
Residing in the house were Butch (78), a lifelong resident of the area and barber in town for over 50 years as well as local musician. Butch had just gotten home a few weeks ago after nearly a month in the ICU and was recovering with the help of home health aides. His wife, Debrah (59), His daughter Kori (30) who is permanently disabled with complications from a Chiari Malformation and Trevor (26)who helped to care for and support his family.
At the time of the fire, Trevor and his friend Andrew were quick thinking and able to get Butch and Kori and safe- Debrah was not home at the time. Trevor attempted to put out the flames but it spread too quickly for anything to be done. Those who know Butch will not be surprised to learn that despite only getting one shoe on, he did manage to grab a guitar on the way out.
The family does have the minimum insurance required on the home, but it does not cover any of the contents. Funds will be used to help cover what was lost and help them in the interim as they rebuild. They are currently working with the Red Cross to get the many prescriptions and medical supplies required by Butch and Kori replaced as quickly as possible as well as emergency clothing.
Thank you to those who can help in this difficult time. The Hunt family is thankful everyday for all the love and support that Pine Bush and the surrounding community has continually showered upon them.
