Hugs and Kisses for Levi Takei

On November 28, 2017 my nephew Levi Takei was taken to the doctors because he wasn't feeling well. After receiving word on the results of his blood tests and x-rays, Levi was rushed to the Hilo Medical Center, then medevaced to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children on Honolulu, Oahu. Our world started to crumble.
Then on November 29, 2017 our world completely fell apart when we received the devastating news that Levi was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the innocent age of 21 months.
My name is Aisha Santa Isabel. I am the older sister of Levi's mommy, Keani Santa Isabel, and sister in-law to Levi's daddy, Rocky Takei. This GoFundMe account was started to help my sister and Rocky with the overwhelming costs associated with the care and treatment that Levi requires.
For the next 3 1/2 years, Levi will be traveling from Hilo, Hawai'i to Honolulu, Oahu to undergo extensive chemotherapy treatments. It is no surprise... there will be significant financial responsibilities ahead.
Even with medical insurance coverage in place, medical costs along with other expenses will be overwhelming. Your donations will help with medications/treatments not covered by insurance, travel related expenses and all other unforeseeable circumstances. This will also allow both Levi's mommy and daddy to be with him on Oahu during treatments, because no parent should have to face this alone.
I know that I will never be able to take away all the pain that Levi, Keani and Rocky will have to endure during this heartbreaking time, but I am determined to help in every way possible. My heart aches knowing that my nephew, so young and so innocent, will have to fight this terrible disease.
Although it will be a long journey ahead of us, Levi is a very strong little boy and he will beat this! We will continue to take things one step at a time, one day at a time.
