Studying Abroad in Germany

Donation protected
My name is Rebekkah Stanley, and I am a sophomore at UNC Pembroke, majoring in criminal justice. The political science department of my school is doing a study abroad trip to Germany next May, from the 10th-22nd. They will be touring several locations, including a concentration camp where political prisoners were held. While it is not the same exact situation, my grandfather was from Germany, and he was taken by the Nazis to 3 different concentration camps, as well as his sister. He was lucky enough to survive all of them, but he unfortunately died before I ever met him. His name was Manfred Prenzlau, and he was a renowned doctor who practiced all over the US after he left Germany once the war was over.

This trip would mean a lot to me personally, and would help me connect with my grandfather. Not to mention it would be an invaluable learning experience. The funds would be used to cover the cost of the trip, which includes airfare, tour fees, hotel fees, and more. Any amount of money would mean the world to me, and help me come closer to my grandfather and learn about where he was from. The first half of the trip fee ($1,600) is due by December 15th, and the other half is due March 15th.

I have never had an opportunity like this, or even come close to having one like this. Any help you can give, whether it be money or just sharing my campaign on Facebook, would be a great help.
