As you have flipped through television stations, you may have seen the very prestigious Universal Cheer Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championship on ESPN. This competition is for the best of the best in the country, and for the first time in over 15 years, the Hueytown High School Cheerleaders have competed in and placed high enough at a regional competition to receive an invitation to this event in Orlando, Florida!
Due to the prestige associated with this competition, we are doing everything in our power to get our team to Orlando to compete and represent Hueytown; this is where we need your help. The costs associated with registration, transportation, and lodging are over $700 for each team member. Our team practiced hard and won our place at the competition on December 11, 2016; now, final payments are due January 9, 2017. We have been fundraising all year, but the costs of cheerleading are high, and we are still in need. We are asking that you please make a donation to our team or to an individual team member to help us achieve our goal of participating at UCA Nationals.
