The BACK STORY...
I grew up with my family(my mom, dad, and brother) two doors away from my home. I bought my home from the lady that babysat my brother and me when we were kids. I was so excited to be able to own a home so close to my parents! Awesome neighbors and neighborhood!!
Although my mom passed several years ago, my daddy still lives in my childhood home and I get to see him most days. It is important to me to live so close to my elderly father to help care for him. He was hospitalized earlier this year from pneumonia. I found him barely conscious and called an ambulance! I love my daddy! I am grateful to live so close to him.
My daughter has a great relationship with my dad (her grandfather) and spends time watching sports with him regularly. They have breakfast dates and have fun together gardening.
My CAUSE...
I was involved in a hit and run car wreck on January 11th while on my way out of town for a training/meeting for work. My car was all but destroyed in the wreck . I sustained serious injuries that have kept me from doing any of my jobs of salon leader and masterstylist at Hair Cuttery, and body work (massage), all which require the use of both arms. I sustained a rotator cuff tear, detached biceps, floaters in my vision, and a concussion. I still have severe dizziness and other issues due to the concussion sustained in the accident. I've had surgery to repair extensive damage to my shoulder. I'm currently in physical therapy 3x a week to regain the use of my left arm.
Not having the ability to work means I've not been able to produce an income. It's disheartening to want to do the work I love so much and be unable to. Me being out of work since January has caused me to fall way behind on my mortgage and car payments.
My car got repossessed on Easter Sunday. I no longer have transportation , and my home of 23 years has fallen into foreclosure. Although I've reached out to my mortgage company several times pleading with them to work with me through this hardship, my house is up for public auction on May 17,2018 in Virginia Beach. I cannot begin to tell you how much this hurts my heart to lose my home that I have worked so hard for and owned for 23 years. My mortgage company is unwilling to work with me in saving my home. Their response was I signed a contract and it is non-negotiable. How can I be in a hit and run car accident and lose everything I have worked my whole life for?
My GOAL...
This is a last ditch effort in saving my home and getting a running vehicle! Getting current on my mortgage is most important. We've lived in our home for 23 years!!!
