Help For Rescue Horses & Family Who Rescued Them

I am setting up this GoFundMe page try to help friends of mine that care for rescue horses and rarely ask for help.
I’m gonna share a little bit about my animal-loving friend. My friend and her fiancé rescue horses. She rescued her first horse 15 years ago. Any time someone calls them up with info that a horse is being sent to a kill pen they try to rescue it. Many of these rescue horses have bad pasts and have been abused in some way. My friend and her fiancé have provided these horses with a second chance around people who show them nothing but love. Recently, in the past year, they have rescued 5 more wonderful animals. With the last two horses they rescued, there was a surprise. The one mare was with foal. So now they have an energetic young colt on their hands. Which is exciting, but now the total number of horses that they care for is up to 8. My friend’s health is not the best and taking care of these horses is a full-time job. Her fiancé is a veteran, who is working a full-time job, as well as helping care for the horses. Unfortunately, her fiancé is dealing with PTSD and is currently on short term disability from his job. The costs of feeding and taking care of 8 horses is becoming a financial struggle.
There are a few volunteers who help with the care and upkeep of the horses. There are also volunteers that have a property that they donated for the horses to stay, so the recent move to this new property to keep the horses free of rent is also a huge help. Any money that they have goes to the horses to feed them hay and grain. Unfortunately, there are other important costs involved with the care of the horses.
The reason for this GoFundMe page is to help with some of the veterinarian bills to keep these horses healthy and vaccinated, and to get their new colt gelded before he is a danger to the other horses, my friend, and her fiancé and the volunteers.
We are not asking for a lot, just enough to help with some of these costs to help them so my friend and her fiancé can continue giving their love and care to these special rescue horses…. To give them a second chance.
